Agreed. I do need times to wallow in the pig sty of self pity in order to declutter and gain clarity.
Clarity is wonderful. I am a believer in life experiences and I get bogged down and unhappy when I fall in to a long term routine. That is the basis for my current dark mood - I have fallen in to a rut.
But am now preparing to stretch out. Just applied for a new job 3000 miles from where I live. The stretch is not the big move (have done that 3 or 4 times already), but that I am looking at locales that used to be unattractive. I never liked big cities or eastern Canada. But I do like living contrary to what others (and myself) consider to be in my best interests.
So I just opened up endless opportunities by opening up a shut down part of my brain. And if I really want to go further, there are hundreds of other areas of my brain that I have shut down. But baby steps for now.
Thanks uneunsae - you helped with the decluttering.
