Ah the Big Bang experiment in Geneva yesterday? I thought it costed £1billion...
I dont personally agree spending so much money in experiments when poverty level is high and going higher , food resources lower, and the credit crunch we haven't see yet its big effect on the economy at least in UK. However if it will give scientists a better understanding of the universe and back up the Big Bang theory will be a progress. It will be a big bang to what we know of the world and the religious theories/believes started how many centuries ago while humanity had little understanding of the science behind it.
Will have to wait a year to know the outcome of this experiment, cant wait. Hopefully the will make public all the information they get from this.

Quote:On Tuesday BBC news had an interview with Stephen Hawkins and a headline of : 'The end of the world is tomorrow' then they add '...of the world as we know it today'. If they made a mistake would be a self fulfilling prophecy lol
i thought for a while : if those GuYs make an unexpected mistake it they may explode the part of the universe we are living in
Quote:.. i was not serious and at least i didnt go to a court and asked for stopping the project .. like some people in hawai .Can you tell us more about that story?
