That is correct sir...see, here Amerindians resisted far into the first century of existance of the Chilean State..
so there was only wars, nothing to be thankful for....
Araucanians stopped the Incas first...then the Spaniards...not to mention destroying all seven of the cities they founded on the border..hehe...and then they fought us Chileans too...
After the taking care of Bolivia and Peru in the War of the Pacific, the AraucanÃa region was next in line for the Army...it was "pacified"...
so nothing on them to thank us and nothing for us to thank them...
TPBM however has a Catholic holiday nearby...like we do on December 8th
