I guess my first gay experience was about wanting a Snow White costume when I was about 4 or 5 and my mother made it for me. At that time I also wanted to be called Anne Marie Catherine, and would answer to no other name, apparently. My grandmother was shocked and told my mother not to encourage it, but she (bless her) just saw it as part of my development as a child and let it go.
