What Gives You Peace/Relaxes You?

Hopefully we all have something that we do that provides a sense of peace within our souls or allows our minds and/or bodies to relax.

For me, I enjoy playing the violin, practicing yoga, and laying out on the beach.

How about you?

Playing the piano helps me channel my moods and relax. I have a couple of 'go to' songs that instantly focus me and change my mood (Avatar Last Air Bender theme, Last of Us theme, The Peanuts theme and Call of Duty Black Ops Zombie theme).

Learning to play the violin is on my bucket list! Time is my enemy. How long have you been playing? Do you have certain songs that you play to help you relax?

Running is usually my time when I work through issues, self-reflect, trouble shoot, that kind of thing. It helps me focus and find that sense of peace. I call it meditative running.

I also do some wood working, and while the actual planning and cutting isn’t usually the relaxing part — it’s the sanding and and staining that I find super relaxing.
