Honestly, I have never understood what goes on in the brains of those who love being naked all the time. Wouldn't it be nice if a neurologist took a scan on the brains of those who love going naked? I never understood it. Perhaps all that exposure to television or onscreen nudity promotes this act? I don't know. I mean, it isn't wrong, but I certainly would not do it as much as others would.

I wonder if nudism is common in countries where sexual expression is restricted.

Yes that would be an interesting experiment. The same can be said with many behavioral patterns.

I always thought that nudism has more to do with a sense of "freedom", of getting rid of social rules.

Media nudity is focused more on commercial aspects, trying to get an audience, mostly with the appeal of sexual scenarios. Although, those become appealing in the first place because of social restrictions and tabooes. I guess one finds appeal in the forbidden things.
