Well I would seem to think more liberal people would be more accepting. I think mostly closed minded people would have a problem. If you wouldn't think your friends would accept you as gay they probably wouldn't accept you as bisexual either or anything outside of the typical straight male.

When it comes to sexuality in general and may have read this from my and others on here I see it more of a spectrum than anything like a black and white thing. Also depends on what you want out of a relationship with someone. If you're looking to settle down with someone just have to ask yourself would you rather settle down with a man or woman...

This thread does make me think more on what I am wanting. I have thought about it over and over and at times I feel like I would like to date women, but then there's that whole gap about my sexuality. I also think I could be equally happy with a guy too and I have more experience, what little I do have, dating guys and I do want kids but I think I would be plenty happy to adopt kids as well. My problem is simply that I find more guys than girls sexually attractive, but my sexual experiences fall mostly with guys.

As far as being understood, people don't really understand, people can accept your sexuality and be done with it. People who are real friends won't really care, half may suspect that you're gay or bisexual already. My sister suspected me long before anyone else did and most people have a hard time figuring out that I am gay.
