I'm too befuddled to make sense of this because I just worked a 12 hour overnight shift.

Nothing to do with my mental acuity (or lack thereof).

Sleep deprivation.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it ...

the times they were troubled.

Mental illness was the underlying influence.

Times were crazy, but I remain defiant.

I have been here before, I will be here again.
