Rock
Pop
Dance/Club (even tho i've never been to a club)
Techno/Trance/Goa
Alt.Rock
Country
most 80's stuff
In general i'm not a fan of slow mellow stuff or 'elevator music' (ie classical)
or anything with allot of highs in it (like opera)
oh and stuff like reverb/echo processors, surround sound, subwoofers...those are all good things...

So ... "a lot of different types" = western popular music from the last 30 or 40 years then
