@Bookworm You can probably do a 10 gallon without much hassle...at least on the physical side of things. Just have to be careful and only put in a couple fish at the beginning or you get the big ammonia spike like I did but I also have plants that are dying back and root tabs so who knows lol. A betta will do really well in a 10 gallon and it is a small enough tank you can put just about anywhere.
Oh yeah I don't think I replied about the corydora's I'm considering. I thinking about doing the pygmy corydora, they're small, they school so I can put a bunch in the 55 gallon. I also don't have to worry about them getting big. Kind of the theme about bad advice, the pet store years ago, pretty sure sold me a common pleco...mind you all I had was a 10 gallon and it got huge and started eating fish. So yeah glad we have youtube and channels like Aquarium Co-op and whatnot.
