Do you still play for recreation, or do you no longer play at all?   Sounds like you found a passion that also allowed you to travel too.  That's great, a lot of people don't get to do that!

No, I stopped playing when I met my bf and all my friends stopped playing. Bf and I did a long-distance relationship between Cologne and Amsterdam and so seeing him on weekends became more important.  I was never really into VOlleyball, it was the fringe benefits (team, friends, travel) that attracted me. Most friends stopped playing because of injuries and that was not an attractive thought. The worst I had was a bruised tendon in my ankle, twice, so I think I got out in time. Did you do any team sport?
