It's not an easy thing to tell parents. My sister when she was asking if i was gay said i can tell her but never tell mom and dad.She also said she didnt want me to be a slag but have a relationship. haha However i told my parents in a very relaxed way and sometimes i feel like this is a conversation we are going to have again. I think they dont want to realize it or they see it as something i had but gone, like a flu. :frown:
As for you gordonj if your parents are ok with gay people makes it easier. Your cousin did all the work. Of course when it comes to their own children will take a bit to accept it but i believe that it will be fine to tell.
How to tell? When time is right. Usually parents will ask about girlfriends/boyfriends .This is a good opportunity to tell , give hints first. Dont tell them "Mom dad i am gay" you can say find men more attractive than women ( same thing with words easier to ears).
