The problem with gays is that.... We are alcoholics, addicts, depressed, anxious, self destructive, etc in greater numbers per capita than straights and the straights then turn around and use that as 'proof' that being gay is wrong.

The real shocker to me through the years of being on many forums on the internet, no matter how many times you explain that the reason why gays are 'this way' is not because they are gay, but because HOW they are treated by others for being gay.

The circular logic is then, "Well if they stopped being gay they wouldn't have this problem".

A gal on facebook called - she actually picked up a phone and called, not messaged, my partner in tears because of the hatred that her post on the recent teen suicide received by so many of her so called 'friends'.

For decades I have had the same arguments, the same tired attempts at trying to explain to people the real why behind the self destructive tendencies of 'the gays'. And try as you might these people just refuse to get it, refuse to understand the real cause and the real affect.

I suppose if they had to own that their actions hurt so many then they would have to say they are sorry, or accept in silence the LGBT community.

I doubt that will happen in my lifetime.
