Maybe you're beating yourself up too much about this?
At the end of the day, although these thoughts aren't good thoughts to be having, you said yourself you would never ever act upon them and that's the REAL difference. You know where to draw the line, you are good and decent enough never to do carry out an act like that.
I think we all have had or do have sick thoughts in our head that we would never carry out. You choose not to entertain these thoughts, so really you are harmless.
Unless it's something that really affects your life and you're scared you may one day lose control (in which case I think you should seek some sort of counselling or something and see where this desire to be in control of something weaker than yourself comes from) then I wouldn't worry about it too much.
