So it was that song from the show that we included in an all around New Year's Musical venture on stage, there were excerpts from Mame, from Chicago, from Grease, from Victor Victoria, from Fame, from Les Miserables, from The Bird Cage etc... and from other musicals...
And yes, Frank, All That Jazz, the movie, directed by the great and late Bob Fosse, (who also directed Cabaret) is a great movie. It won something in Cannes in 1980, I believe, but some of our crowd here will be too young to remember that. ((un)lucky them! )
Yeah, All that Jazz / Overture is the opening scene. Ah such a fantastic film. I remember, I went to see it at the cinema when it first came out for my mate Nik's birthday (he did dance at school etc.) but I'd never been to see a musical or anything like that before so I was anticipating it being boring... when we got in there it was full of old people... and we were all like "ah it's gonna be one of THOSE films" - but it was actually bloooooooody good! So good in fact, I bought it on DVD when it came out hehe!

OMG Queen Latifah is so good in it! I love cell block tango as well!
The Fratellis - Mistress Mabel - it's their new song - and it's really good!!
