As a society we are swiftly going to hell.
In the USA there are those who are always warning 'They will over turn the constitution'.
Nope, that ain't gonna happen. What is going to happen is there are going to be so many laws, so many new crimes that we are all going to come afoul of the law, and through sentencing for a 'crime' lose our basic rights as citizens.
Back when I was a kid it was perfectly ok to TP a person's house. Today you do it you are up for criminal charges and a police record.
I read somewhere about a year ago that hundreds of thousands of business owners are now committing federal crimes doing business as they have done for decades simply because tax laws have changed.

They, politicians, are doing their best to make us all criminals, once we are all sentenced and charged we no longer can vote, hold guns and various other 'freedoms' and 'rights' vanish.
