Coming Out Again!
#1
Well I came out when I was 22 years old and then went back in the closet when I was like 28 or 29 and I am now 37 and I am coming out of the closet to people that I have worked with at seasonal jobs and currently to people that I work with.

First off I came out to this lesbian and she is very cool and she has a wife and they are both very cool. Then I came out to this other guy that works at the front desk of the lodge that I work at. Then I came out to the supervisor where I work at and only because she was talking to the lesbian that I told and said that she is the biggest fag hag and I just told her that she could be my fag hag if she wanted and we just started to talk.

There is another guy that is gay that I want to just come out to but I am not sure about it and I am sure that I will eventually tell everyone as time goes on. I told a few people that I worked with last summer and they seem cool about it. I really don't flaunt my sexuality and I actually never have and people think I am giving them shit when I do tell them that I am gay, yet I am not. I just am tired of being silent about it like I said in a previous posting.

It just feels better to get it off my chest for some reason

Different people are different.
I feel no need to tell anyone my sexual preference.
The few close friends who know, only know because they asked me and I trusted them and was in the mood to tell the truth.
I still lie and say I'm straight to a lot of people.
Most of the time, I just say nothing if nobody asks. Make their own assumptions if they want.

I have yet to have a hetrosexual come up to me and say hi I am ........ and I am straight, why do we feel everyone needs to know. If asked I don't deny it but by the same token I don't advertise it, Jim

Most heterosexuals don't a) have people assuming they're gay or b) have to live in an environment where their sexual preference is not considered the norm. I don't think what he's doing is all that bad really. People sometimes need a reminder that there's more gays than they think, and that not all of them look and act the stereotypes.

I don't personally broadcast it at work, because it just gets annoying answering all the questions honestly. But the people who -do- know end up being closer friends a lot of the time because, as stated above, I can be fully myself around them. They stop asking what I think of the hot chick who just walked in, etc.

Well I've just kinda lost all trust in people at this point.
So unless I really learn to trust someone, they ain't getting shit from me.
If they asked what I thought of a hot girl, I'd tell them it's none of their business.

I have decided that if someone asks I am not going to deny it and I will tell them. I have never been that person that meets a person and tells them that I am gay. I mean of course if I am at a gay bar or gay event of course its obvious, well I mean sometimes. My friends in the past will always say that there friend was wondering why there straight friend is at a gay parade or bar, its hilarious. Well if the person matters then I will tell them, if they don't then it won't. Pretty easy solution. Thanks guys
