Summoning Spirits
#71
I have been feeling a bit "drained" lately. In fact I fell asleep while watching tv on the couch with my son last night which I hardly ever do. I've just been chalking it up to the late nights I've been keeping lately and being stressed out over the divorce and all, but do you think maybe there's something more "other worldly" about it?

Probably not, that's a lot of very real, very plausible reasons for feeling worn down. If anything, I'd sooner suspect someone living around you is taking it all very hard and, is unintentionally being a drain on you.

Shielding can help there too, usually people with that victim mentality don't even realize they can drain others like that, and many don't even think energy work is anything more than our imaginations. Look for living explanations, and things in this realm or plane first, far more likely it's a rather mundane reason or three than anything supernatural or spiritual.

Well I definetly have a living "victim" close by, but she should be leaving in 4 to 6 weeks. Unless the lawyers can get off their fat asses and do something quicker.

hey archubbycub if your feeling drawn to that confederate soldier you might have known him in a past life. easiest way to tell how you knew him is to ask yourself how the connection felt between the two of you. if it was riddled with tension that means you did something to wrong that person and if it felt good and you felt close to him that means that you were either friends family or lovers. the reason i say lovers is because just because your a guy in this life doesnt mean you were always a guy in your last life you could have been a woman

The feeling I got was not a good one. It was very tense and almost felt confrontational!

Yep. I told you about that binding I did in self defense. Oddly, I felt guilty and proud at the same time. I was in a do-no-harm coven, but that chick freaking attacked me, and unless I hear different, I think the defensive binding was all the better for her.

I've never had occasion to try to bind a non-living spirit. Is that possible?

Dang. Yeah, like Blue says, grounding and shielding. I have a feeling there IS more of that in San Francisco. I've never been there, but even from the Midwest, there's that vibe of a lot of people drawn to that area for the, um, interesting energies. Learn some binding techniques if you must, but use every bit of ethics you possess when going that route.

Quite honestly, I know that my own drained feeling is the late nights I've been up, not wanting to sleep. Even though I know this stuff is real, I've learned to rule out mundane explanations first.

You can bind any energy, living or not, but that isn't something you want to do if it is at all avoidable. Shield, try to rely on natural sources of energy if you need a bit extra to hold the shields. Lets see if that and and a little random draining on them does the trick before we go attempting what sounds like it could be a mass binding.

"Do as ye will and in it harm none." Is the rule and, binding flies in the face of that. Not to mention the ten fold rule, if you believe that as well and, you do harm them by binding them.

I always was taught three-fold. And this is why I've only done one binding in my life. ;-)
