Sad News About Summer
#1
I have just heard on the BBC radio that Donna Summer had died of cancer at the tender age of 63.

I know some of you will think that she once dissed homosexuals, but I've never been convinced that she was against us when we made up such a huge fan base.

Here's one of her hits as a reminder of everything she meant to the disco generation....
One of the songs I'd learnt by heart from her earliest album.

Donna Summer started singing in churches when she was young then landed a role in a German production of Hair. That's where she met her German husband, Herr Sommer, who gave her stage name. A little girl named Mimi was born of that union, but she divorced him and returned to the States, but not before she's moaned her way into disco hearts and had been banned from radios around the world for her suggestive song:
LOVE TO LOVE YOU BABY
