When you call on me,
Your call sets me free,
My spirit takes flight,
Yours is the dawning light,
I feel that I'm alive,
Soaring through the clouds I dive,
My wings stretch out straight,
To stay in your arms I wish was my fate,
When you look at me,
I wish that it would be,
But the soul that soars right through the sky,
Is the one that will not but die.
For I can walk and I can fly,
More, I can be strong and I will not cry,
My length of my flight is not up to I,
I wish it was, for if I land I shall die,
I wish for you the angel that sings,
To forever be . . .
The wind beneath my wings.
Your call sets me free,
My spirit takes flight,
Yours is the dawning light,
I feel that I'm alive,
Soaring through the clouds I dive,
My wings stretch out straight,
To stay in your arms I wish was my fate,
When you look at me,
I wish that it would be,
But the soul that soars right through the sky,
Is the one that will not but die.
For I can walk and I can fly,
More, I can be strong and I will not cry,
My length of my flight is not up to I,
I wish it was, for if I land I shall die,
I wish for you the angel that sings,
To forever be . . .
The wind beneath my wings.
