Well aside from the obvious "no-no" foods like alcohol and chocolate...I've read they love fruits and nuts. A lot of the texts said a low-protein dog food is good for their digestive system as well.

Right now, we're bottle feeding them kitten milk (cow milk can constipate them) Confusedmile:

and the gloves are because of their teeth? Smile

I've found that they also like vegetable, chicken, turkey and fish. They seem to be prone to obesity, so no chocolate indeed lol They need a lot of exercise Smile

Good luck, man Big Grin

hmm, the source says they need a lot of protein though

Thank you my friend Confusedmile:

Yes, the gloves were a necessity because we didn't know how they would first react to human contact. They were quickly discarded however when the kits began to warm to us and show their loveable side (showing off my rubbing their heads on our hands, kneading the blanket, playing with toys we bought for them and sucking on their toes lol)

Yeah, they eat quite a variety of foods, lots of protein indeed. It'll be quite a journey Confusedmile:

I have found a board about pets; two members there had them for some time (one for 11 years). They both said that as they grew older they started to be aggressive and to bite. The people needed suture a lot of times. They also started to made a mess indoors (flower pots, fridge, shelves). They both kept them in a large cage in the garden after some time.

One of them said that she would have them again, but she would not recommend it to others Smile

your situation is not for everyone.

dogs have had hundreds of generations to evolve into pets. They are the only few animal that responds to gestures, pointing etc. As you live with them they develop a vocabulary and can read you better than your human partner.

They are so dang cute Dazzler1 .

... I want to eat them up

I've never really cared for mammals to much before, the closest I got was having an adorable Hamster who used to make squeaky noises when I brushed his fur.

But recently, working at the Zoo, I've come across Lemurs and small Monkeys and now I think I want one...

They're all so dang cute Confusedmile: .

But to be serious, I think it is good of you to take in an animal, especially if they were to be euthanized. I don't believe in senseless killing of an animal, so I have to pat you on the back [and steal your babies... lol].

People don't realize how much animals need us sometimes and whether you keep them as pets or not, you should always show respect and love for them  .

Hooray for Miko & Kiko Cheerleader2

QueenOdi: I THINK Miko means priestess in Japanese but I'm not 100% certain Confusedmile:

Pellaz: Yeah its a little unusual, but then again, so am I Confusedmile: Would I be branded a Snidely Whiplash type if I were to say I've never really been a dog person? To each their own though
