All of my life I have done no harm, intentionally, to anyone. That is how I live my life. I do not need a god to do that.

everyone has some sort of belief system.

nice if people had the strength to forum their own beliefs and respect others rather than search for that one un supported but true belief. This quickly becomes a disaster when it stops a whole society from parsing through new decisions with an open analytical mind.

The concept of one right or true belief is what organized religion did to us. Each will tell you that their way is the right, true only way and, they are all wrong. God, Goddess, Great Spirit, whoever you want to to call it/her/him is not in any four walls be that a church or otherwise, it/he/sh is in each of our hearts.

We may each interpret it differently, or even believe it is simply human power and no anything remotely divine at all. That's fine, beliefs are based in your personal experiences, upbringing and cultural background. You didn't live my life so, I wouldn't expect you to believe exactly as I do, perhaps similar in many ways, perhaps not but, if it's true for you, then I respect that and, I'm not going to try to change what you hold true.

If you believe something that is new to me, I will probably explore it, learn about it. Or if you offer a new perspective on a belief I knew about, I'm going to go look into it, see what it's about. Maybe I missed something, maybe something you present to me will show me something I hadn't considered before and, be it secular or spiritual, learning is a good thing.

All I think is who ever created us, made is for the only reason to embrace life it self. To me the biblical gods and other religious ones, more sounds like Satan himself. To me it only seems selfish to create a species for the only reason to obey your god, cause after all, isn't that what all the Abrahemic religion is about? Believe in me and go to heaven, ignore me and go to hell? But that's my take on religion, and I respect others opinions to. I don't force others on my opinion so don't throw it in my face cause that will upset me Smile Live life, do what pleases you, until its to late.
Sometimes you need a bit of chaos in your life to be able to shrug off pitiful disdain about something meaningless.

I think I've come to the conclusion that I have to spend time completely working out the rhyme and rhythm to a religion and a god before I start having faith.

That was the problem with me and the science and maths subjects too, I couldn't stand accepting something just because it's a formula or a rule and being expected to start using it and understanding it, just like I cannot just suddenly have faith in God.

The only problem is that I'd need divine intervention in order to begin on a specific religion, which sort of defeats all the above -_-

oops.

I'll get around to it at some point.
