Aurora Tragedy

It seems... that all his knowledge everyone who knows him has said he has, has caused him to lose empathy and respect for human life.

Someone said above, all the video games with shooting in it and what not, however doesn't make people shoot people, but it inspires the thought and possibilities, and it also de-sensitizes us towards violence, death and things that murderer's most times, don't have remorse for.

The law and Judicial system has been flawed since it's inception, so it's not so shocking you can buy a butt-load of weapons and expect someone not to maybe think about using it negatively. And like Monk said; People will always try to find a way to aquire guns, or any other means of control over someone else.

I agree with Matty, the laws written were for that time period in which they were written, but people have abused that law and bended it for their purposes. And historically, change doesn't come very easily, especially when people don't want it.

I really do feel sorry for the people who just wanted to watch a late night movie and were attacked and some killed.

For what? It's literally beyond any logic I can think of...

When I saw that mother talking about getting her kids out and practically dragging her daughter out... :frown: It's just so sad.

Having known plenty of people who enjoy violent media (including video games) I find it hard to see them as particularly desensitized. Some are, but so are some who have very little to do with any media or video games. I suspect that if games really make people violent then it's because they try playing them 24/7 and thus lose their empathy from lack of use and not feeling any connection to the community...and they probably wouldn't have done that unless they already were disconnected from the community in the first place.
