quaint election time rhetoric
#1
i cant believe people actually think like this:eek: so this is for entertainment purposes only:

US Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) misspoke with considerable dis-respect in an interview this weekend in which he said:
"As a member of Congress, I believe that working to protect the most vulnerable in our society is one of my most important responsibilities. First of all, from what I understand from doctors [pregnancy from rape] is really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down ..."

I know.
Pathetic.

He was also the favourite for whatever election he has coming up.
Sad.

I guess he's one of the "If you didn't struggle enough or scream enough to stop him ejaculating in your vagina, it's not real rape." Crowd.
Even if he's not, this reeks of victim blaming.

Of course.
Some conservatives are defending what he said.
And he's already back pedalling.(He "misspoke")
Maybe he'll still win the election.

It has to be a thought before it is sopken, and if someone thinks that way, then there is something seriously wrong with them.

Oh looks like he could be a part of the :"If you weren't beaten/stressed out bad enough to miscarry/not conceive, it wasn't rape"

Does the world really have such stupid people populating it?
*sigh*
