Id tell her, hell she probably suspects it anyway. If she has a gay best friend. The one person who I knew was secretly gay, even after beating the shit out of eachother I didn't tell. If she tells so she tells bro you can't stay in the closet forever.
I felt very sick when I came out to my friend but it turned out to be very good for me. Those deep dark secrets were nolonger dark.
Its like jumping of a cliff. You can't go back but it breaks those clouds over your head. Having someone you can talk to is really nice. In some time you will be able to walk up and tell people and you will not feel shy. But you are seventeen and I am 29, if you are still in high school you may want to wait. If you can take it in highschool go for it.
