Yeah it's a cool spelling! In fact in one of the forums we had a build-a-story thing going on where each person posted a bit more of the story. That had a character in called Erick spellt exactly so mile:

I like names that are spellt unconventionally... Zak, Nik, Jak, Jon (not so unconventional but still), Alix, Alyx, Alexys etc. etc. Sooooo cool hehe!
