Kissing in bars.

I was just wondering what peoples views are on making out and stuff in gay bars and places like that.
Last night me and my bf were in a gay bar sitting upstairs (where nobody else was at the time) and we were making out and the barman person came upstairs to collect glasses and he said, and i quote "dont you think you two should get a room, you've been attached to one another since you came through the door".
And it annoyed me A LOT when he said it, but then i thought is he right, is it inappropriate to do that in a bar? and i was wondering what you guys thought.
Ive certainly seen other people do the same in the same place (some a lot more passionately and graphically than was necessary lol).
And i personally dont think ther was anything wrong with it.

Considering how dead the place was, you'd think he'd be trying to encourage customers to come back wouldn't you lol

Well kissing your partner should not be something you're ashamed to do in front of someone??? It shows that you're affectionate towards eachother and since when did kissing become offensive? *Eating eachother's faces off* is a totally different matter though haha!

I personally think it's cute to see a couple romantically involved, showing their affection in public. But when it's been going on for the last ten minutes, that's when I begin to think get a room! heh! That's when it becomes boring and like they're showing off :tongue:

Making out in public is just not for me I guess.A passionate kiss is okay but a saliva fest is just not on.But if you say the room was dead then he shouldn't have said that.Bear in mind though that some people thinking making out in public is distasteful.

given that the place was deserted and there was nothing improper i'd say gopher it!!! :biggrin:

if the place were crowded then i'd still have no problem with it, but a little more restraint would be in order. :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: people tend to get jealous or easily distracted from their own conversations.

Maybe, but he'd have probably preferred to see your top set inside one of his glasses than gnawing at someone's tonsils

well, I kindoff agree with the barman.

I dont think there's anything wrong with public displays of affection, in fact, i encourage it, but "making out" in a club is a little bit.... chav..... (no offense to anyone)

Kissing okay, but sucking face shows a lack of respect to the other people there (and yourself, in my opinion)

I got kicked out of a gay bar in Japan for kissing face. I didnt think it was out of hand at all. What a bore.

I dont think anyone in a New York City club would look twice at a couple kissing... take pics yes, but look twice = no.
