bug snack
#1
Hi everyone keep this short

The other night there was an interesting documentary about eating bugs

With the worlds population rising in some countries the bug trade is growing and with the population ever growing more people are becoming aware of it

Much more efficient than meat and econimicly freindlier

These days theres stupid tv shows, where the penalty is eating bugs (cue gagging and over reaction)

There also highly nutricous and low in fat and full of iron

Anyway i found myself thinking some of them looked quite nice (to eat that is! )

I wander has anyone eaten a bug, is it popular in your culture

What are views of vegetarions

I have eaten fried maguey worms and chocolate covered grasshoppers. Indigenous people of Mexico eat various insects and it is a part of "real" Mexican cuisine, particularly from Oaxaca. It is kind of gross at first, but once you start thinking about it as food as opposed to a "critter" it is okay. I think that some people are never going to get over that though.

Thanks lalo, yes that was mentioned too, like when you look at a shrimp its not much different from a bug, yet were used to them so dont think about it

B.C. ( before children ) I had some roasted widgety grubs at the Moomba festival in Melbourne.
It wasn't as bad as it looked.
