The Amityville Horror: truth or hoax?
#11
Oh the Amityville phantom ! Big Grin

The man killed his 2parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, which makes 222. The story happened in 1974 but 1+9+7+4=21 and 2+1=3

And 222x3 = Sagrin

There are lots of frightening stories like that with proofs on pictures...now, with photoshop, it's a bit sad, nobody would believe anything about nowadays' phantom Sad

This is some X-Files/Boards of Canada-fandom style reaching right there... Wink

I live in one of these "bad houses", for some reason, anyone living in it experiences severe levels of depression at a paralyzing level. Spending five years out of it taught me how to resist it, but this past year has taken it's toll on me, especially in the smaller things...which is why I'm not sorry I'm moving.

Nice to meet you, skeptic!

Spoiler:

In all seriousness, it's something I've been observing in that house for almost 20 years.

What happened ? You said paralyzing levels and depression ? It might be the climate or products you find in the ground which interacts with neuroreceptors, no?
I say that because a friend of mine told me that kind of experience (a house where all those who lived had heart attack) and there was a rationnal reason, I don't remember.

I believe they're decent people and they're speaking the truth (or, at least, what they perceived to be the truth) but there are disturbing elements in their story. They mentioned strange substances in the house, why didn't they keep samples?

You hit on one "note" there....PROOF.

None of these people have any. Its all heresay and stories. Without proof, its all ambiguous.

If you take some seemingly "normal" people, tell them a scary ghost story about an old house, then make them stay in the old house for a weekend....you will have some people who will come up with the most amazing horror stories. Whehter they claim something happened to them or they were only witness to it or the people it happened too.

If you take those same people and JUST put them in an old house for a weekend WITHOUT telling them a scary ghost story about the house....you will just have some people who think the house is just old and "creepy".

You would think after all these centuries of "ghost" stories, "vampire" stories, the Loch Ness monster, Big Foot, aliens, etc....SOMEBODY would have some actual PROOF of all this. I mean, come on...after CENTURIES of these stories, NOBODY has ONE shred of proof?????
