I get sick of hearing about the opposition to gay marriage in the UK, even my straight friend says that people opposing this are doing so for their own agendas.

The bill is expected to face stiff opposition in the house of lords next month, especially from the bishops. Also conservative supporters have fears, prime minister David Cameron's backing of Gay marriage will push many traditional Tory voters to ukip, the anti-EU, anti-immigration uk.independant party, where do they stand on gay marriage?
•
I suspect it will play out the same way it did in Canada, a lot of fuss about it while the bill is debated, and then a year later no one will want to talk about it anymore.
•
Do you know how society is going to change after gay marriage is approved? NOT ONE IOTA... whatever an iota is.
•
It will change for succession rights (I don't know about other countries, but without marriage in France it's difficult to have your same-sex boy/girlfriend inherit.). That being said, except that, I don't see concretly what will change.
Symbolically, sure it will. Same sex couples are not "under" the others. It's still a way to banalize homosexuality for real.

Everyone should just get used to the fact were here, were queer, we,ve always been ere, we aint going nowhere and now we can get married. Now lets concentrate on looking after the planet and the animals.
