Coming out is still dangerous in some countries
#1
This is the horrific story of a 22 years old Russian guy who told his "friends" he was gay. This article contains some horrifying details:

People have to fight for their rights, no matter what country they are in.

This man gave his life in hopes to start a revolution. Hopefully more people will step up and fight back.
Russia will have their own "Stonewall" soon. And maybe then things will start to get better.

Unfortunately Russia still appears to be living in the Dark Ages.

Until Russia has had real leaders that arent from the "old school" of political thinking, things wont change.

Literally makes no logical sense.

How can our supposed "superior" intellect as humans, allow for such base and primal actions and mentality?

Straight Men should be happy there are gay men running around, because they are less competition for women, but because men are so vain and think that because they have a penis, that we automatically want it and then want to feel some way about it.

Which is probably the reason gay men hang with women ironically, because there's no expectations other than friendship and no judgement, though not to say all women are fag-hags on 100max.

And not to make this erotic, cause it's so not, but often in these cases, our supposedly straight male counterparts always tend to revolve their attacks around the ass. Whether it be beer bottles, baseball bats, chair legs and even their own dicks, why is that? To some systemic level, I believe males who do this are either curious with internalized hate for such curiosity or are thriving off the primitive act of domination through violence or both.

A very interesting phenomena that occurs frequently in the Animal Kingdom, with one crucial element we encompass, and that's premeditation, which requires thought, which in turn requires interest and understanding.

And ironically enough, all this supposed premeditation, it stems from lack of understanding and even a lack of Empathetic rationality, because someone who does disgusting acts such as this, do not only not understand the reason why they're really doing what they're doing, but do not understand Empathy at all and all that it entails, such as understanding someones feelings, the environment, life, moral values, animal's emotions and emotions in general. And without those two things, we have a very dangerous and misguided individual, who can commit these crimes on the premise of their so called "beliefs" and remained justified in their actions for such beliefs and not feel any which way about it morally.

It's really sad and is one of the things that really make me want to not like people sometimes. Sad

There is a flip side to this,

In some respects, just as bewildering and sad.

Here, in South Africa, the rights of same-sexed persons, are constitutionally protected by law.

This, comming from an intensely Calvanistic consertive regime where laws criminalising same-sex orentation where almost signed into law.

Few today will remember the reign of terror orchestrated by the notorous and sadistic police captain "Basie Smidt", both in Johannesburg and later in Durban, where, with the full might of the police behind him, he would get policeman to run sting operations at the cruising places who had the right to arrest you if they even thought you where gay...Yip thought you where gay

Few remain that remember those who where stripped naked, beaten up in ways that would not leave visible damage,(oh, they where very good at that, mind), then thrown in filthy holding cells and hosed down with fire extinguishers every hour (Om hulle vuil gedagtes skoon te was) or in English:- To clean their filthy thoughts...

Precious few remain who remember Greesville. An army camp established SPECIFICALLY to "correct" same-sexed conscripts. Remember, millitary service was compulsory.. But for the lucky and the rich, who managed to get out of the country, there was no escape...

What went on there is still a state secret.

Come out to unaccepting parents? You where dragged off to the police-station, stripped, bent over a desk and given 6-8 really harsh strokes with a cane, whose characteristics where pre-scribed

Not fun...

So, as a community, what have we actually done to show that we are deserving?

Sorry to say, precious, precious little.

For the life of me, I cannot understand it...

We could just as easily loose everything

Trial by error
