Ex needs help, should I?
#11
I'm in a somewhat similar predicament. My boyfriend is in need of serious help, but the more I encourage, the more he pushes me away. In fact, he is now pushing family away except for his party animal friends. I've decided to let him be and let him find himself.

People who cry wolf are difficult people. As much as he doesn't like to make friends and is pushing everyone away, he needs to realize he can't solely depend on you for help. Does he or you have anyone else to help you, help him? He needs to develop that social tool! I give you much credit for trying to help him out and I'm sure everyone has already said what needed to be said. Best I can do at this point is cheer you on for being a good person to someone who did you wrong. Just don't take it too heavily. If it comes to the point he can't be help, then use your best judgement to let him go.
