What are poppers?

I know they have to do with sex or something but what the heck are they and does anyone use them?

I did once as kid though it wasnt a gay thing, just having fun and getting high. at least i think it was poppers, which i believe to be some kind of liquid in a bottle you inhale, actually id like to know more too so thanks for making this post.

I.E - where do you get it from? Are there alternatives?

I have used them in the past.

They facilitate penetration and make it less painful because somehow they relax the anus. It's very effective.

Don't use poppers in combination with Viagra and other sex drugs, they can lower your blood pressure to dangerous levels.

It's like Amyl Nitrate and stuff like that. It gives you, like, a head rush, and a bit of a buzz for a few minutes...

Evidently all you discussing this subject were not alive in the 80's. Poppers are only really good when one is high on alcohol and the poppers are really great 2 ways. Great with sex and then again on the dance floor. I love poppers but then I am a child of the 70's and 80's.
