OK I'm not that bad (pretty darn close).

My roommate/ex has three CD's of hers in the car. I like Bad Romance and another song pretty much the rest are 'meh'. I can take them or leave them. Its all Rave Music to me and takes me back to the happier days when I got my sunshine out of baggies and danced all night long. :biggrin:

I don't even know what Lady Gaga looks like - I have to look her up on the Google. I don't follow the controversy - while I have read people's posts about how 'bad' she is as a person and lots of rumors - I suspect that they are just the ruminations of people who don't have a life and live vicariously through the lives of celebrities.

I am not a Fanatic of any celebrity, while appreciate a decent song/music number I'm not all gaga over people like, um, err, oh Lady Gaga....

She is 'cutting edge' bad girl. My Generation it was Madonna - honestly wearing her underwear as outer wear - outrageous and so scandalous! Today's kids look back and think it all quaint.

Your kids will look back at Gaga and think she was tame compared to their Hit Pop Star of Fashion and Freakiness.

I remember seeing some old news stories on Elvis when he died.
They showed some news footage of some of his shows when he started out, about how he was deemed "evil" by parents, because he "gyrated his hips" in public!!!

Haha read mah name :3 I think Gaga is pretty awesome. She is strange and different and thats why I like her. I don't have a lot of her music, but I love Born This Way. The song makes me feel good about myself. It makes me want to get up dance, have fun and not care what everybody things.

I'll admit that I'm a bit surprised by the overall response, even if I agree with a lot of it. Most people I know personally love and always have loved Lady Gaga, so I assumed she was still relevant. I guess that's what I get for not giving a damn at all before. Maybe she is just phasing out of pop culture then, which I don't have too many complaints about. I like how bluefox brought up glam rock, because that's exactly the pattern she's following. I heard that music cycles back every 20 years (and I agree), so we might be cycling out of that "glam rock" phase again. Well at least I found something I didn't dislike about Lady Gaga. I'm still interested to see where she goes next.

She is indeed working on her 3rd or fourth album. I'll try it.....but if it shows no growth and is more dance pop.....which BTW was done wonderfully on the 2 fame records......if it's more of that, i'm done. You have to branch out for me to follow your journey.

I don't mind a couple of her songs, but when I was told she was 'outrageous' I was expecting something new. She is just an attention whore.

I never really cared that much for Gaga music, I hadn't even heard her songs before I met Solo, he loved Gaga and used to play her songs before we went on patrol in Afghanistan. Sorry deep breath, but that is another story.
I only peripherally pay attention to her these days.
