Isa
#1
Bit of an odd one this. Anyway i have an ISA which has a fair bit of money in, which is currently earning less interest than my savings account, now ideally i want the more interest, but with changing interest rates being as they are at the moment, may the money be safer in the fixed rate ISA? I can take the money out penalty free but if i take it all out, i wont be able to put it all back in (due to limits and what not) should i want to.

What do people think is best to do. I'm in a bit of a pickle

See if you can transfer it to another bank / building society that has a higher rate of interest. That's what I'm gonna try to do because my ISA aint earning its potential either at the mo.

My ISA interest rate with the bank of scotland decreases when I withdraw money so I'vr promised myself I won't touch it now, but the interest is only at 3%, ergo I opened an ISA with Abbey and am just going to start using it!

Abbey are shite. I'm moving to Nat West ASAP. Going to see them on Thursday. Going to get their gold thing that frank's on about, as you get sooo many benefits, including lower interest rate on loans.

Then hopefully they will approve me for a loan to pay off my shitty abbey one that i've got, pay off my student overdraft, leaving me enough to pay off Florida and then live happily ever after hehe!#

My Abbey Isa, i got 33p interest on £8 haha. That's all my account had in there about 2 weeks ago. It's got £140 in there now, not bad for a few weeks saving. But bad thing with Abbey ISA is you only gain interest ever quarter... so I've gotta leave it in there til august before i'll gain more interest. It's a good job I don't need to withdraw until March next year Confusedmile:

So your ISA was 4.125% interest! Well mine is 6% since i manage it online.

Hmmm The point of an isa is leaving it!!!! LOL
