I still listen to Stan Rogers, a Canadian folk singer. You can hear him on internet. I still cry when I hear First Christmas Away From Home. I was in the Marine Corps. on Parris Island. Hard to imagine a worse place to spend Christmas 1968.

Stan Rogers, a Canadian folk singer, died a genuine hero's death. He got off a plane that crashed in Iowa carrying a woman. He heard a child cry out, he ran back on the plane. The plane exploded.
