So I was browsing around and found this article about how lack of sleep makes our brains not function correctly. Long story short is that they found that when we dont get enough sleep the frontal lobe of our brain is affected. The frontal lobe is the center of the brain that controls our good choice making decisions. While the more primal parts of our brain are lighting up like a Christmas tree. These primal parts of our brain control rewards. Which is why we go for more unhealthy foods when we are more sleepy.

Makes sense,

Cause I know if I've been '24 hour party-people'ing' it the fall out is I eat bad foods then
eventually pass out.

But luckily when I do get home from partying all night. I've forced myself to make healthier and filling foods cause I end up hating myself more the next day if I give in and buy take out or eat junk food.

I read that working night shifts can take 10 years of your life because of your sleep pattern not been constant - guess I better start cramming more stuff in lol
