Does anyone else see racism in what happened?

Personally I do. The shop assistant declined to show her the bag because, in her eyes, Ms Winfrey didn't look as if she coulde afford it. Now if that had been a white person then she would probably have been shown the bag but, because she was black, no, she couldn't possibly afford it. That's racism.

But she wasn't. The owner of the shop said that it was all a "misunderstanding".

I can't say for sure call out "racism",
because I wasn't there personally,
but it's definitely a very high possibility.

Have you ever seen Oprah
without pounds of make-up on?
She looks revolting.
Anyone not familiar with her blown-up, ego self
could've easily mistaken her for a bum.

It probably was racism,
but if anything,
it was staunch elitism.

Anyone who doesn't look the part,
black, white, or anything,
would've been picked to shreds
by this saleswoman
for not being perceived as filthy rich.

This had nothing to do with racism, or that she didnt "look" like she could afford the bag.

My sister lived in Germany for some time. She was shoved off the sidewalks into oncoming traffic, she was refused service in stores (or completely ignored), she was spit on and called names from people passing her on the sidewalks.....among other horror stories.

And this didnt have anything to do with her being female, blonde, or whatever....it was because she was AMERICAN!

Ive been told by every person that I have met or known, that has been over to Europe, that they DESPISE Americans with a passion. Doesnt matter what lying politicians say, the travel industry says, or anybody anyplace trying to make money off of getting people to travel to Europe...its all lies. They DESPISE Americans.

I have NEVER heard one single happy story from anyone that went to anyplace in Europe.



And people wonder why I dont travel.
