Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts?

That about sums it up...

I just have to add... labour can last up to about 30 hours (before they decide on a c-section).. so... yeah. I believe having a baby is much more painful... but then again, i don't have testicles...

Slightly off topic but this reminds me of a story told by a cleaner where I used to work.

Joyce was in her 80's but still working as a cleaner despite her years.

She had her first child when she was just 16 but knew little if nothing about the process of child birth. No Midwife or DIstrict Nurse service in the late 1930's. There was no free National Health Service and sex education was what you learned along the way.

Joyce went in to Labour whilst her mother was at least present although there was no sympathy to be had when a very concerned sixteen year-old Joyce realised that babies are not delivered by the Stork.

"Well, love", her mother said, "It will come out 't' same way it went in!"

My mom says childbirth is nothing compared to the next 18 years.
