New Vehicle vs New Home

Spending a lot of money for a car it's crazy, if you're not rich. IMHO.

If I had to choose between changing/restore home or buy a new car I wouldn't have any doubt.
Home is ten times more important than a car.
I actually use public transport, in the past I used an economic car, cause I don't care about status symbol; an expensive care is a status symbol like a very expensive smartphone and this kind of shit.

I know someone that own an expensive car, even for the fuel etc and lives in a dump, and in my opinion they're stupid and immature. It's like having an expensive toy but problems with the bills, such an immature attitude.

If I was rich... Maseratiiiii, but the first thing is a decent shelter.

If it is a bad neighborhood that has crime, then it should be no question that a new home is the answer. I know my fair share of neighborhoods where a new vehicle equals a smashed window, a key scratched asininity, and a stolen CD player.
If by bad you mean the neighborhood is just dilapidated, then you should put more thought into it. Everybody always tells me to pay off debts, loans, and bills, before you make any investment whatsoever.

I have not done a research question in a while, so here goes a new research question for you peeps out threre--

I live in a bad part of town and live in some pretty shitty apartments, only because I don't have the money to live anywhere else right now. I also drive an old truck, which is still decent...nothing wrong with the engine and it still gets good gas mileage.

But I have seen a LOT of people around here driving new $50,000 to $80,000 vehicles, and still live in a dump. A lot of people seem to prefer new vehicles instead of a decent, safe home to live in.

I don't drive. I live near NYC and do not need to. We have plenty of buses, trains, etc.

But, I would choose the security of a safe and cozy home any day over buying a fancy, new vehicle. Who needs it?

Invest in a nice shelter in a good part of town. This will bring you piece of mind and long-term happiness.

hands down, I would take care of my living situation 1st. there are so many reasons for this the 1st amoung them is that cars are falling in value (very fast, 50% in a couple years) and homes typically rise, admitedly not always, but safety is woth soemthing too.
