Responding to those who call me immature

I am 19 and I have Autism, which means that I am behind developmentally. Of course my comments might be immature sometimes. But chastising me for it isn't going to help anyone. If you're going to criticize me, make it constructive so that I actually know how to better myself instead of feeling like I'm being ganged up on, which I feel like has been happening to me on here lately.

Essentially, what I am asking from you is to tolerate a bit of immaturity because I'm never intentionally immature.

As for Miss Arkansota.

Darling, I have stated from jump, since you started ushering forth your posts, that because you have Autism, is not an excuse to say you do not know right from wrong and are incapable to tell when you may or may not offend someone, and that at some point, people would not accurately be able to understand quite from where you stay, so there would be confusion/irritation.

I have never responded in berating manner, but much like how a Mother would reprimand her child, as I want you to understand where you may have gone wrong and to show you where everyone else is coming from, without being a bitch.

True, I am a Bitch at times(okay a lot sometimes -.-) but when various people tell you something and are trying to bring to your attention something, it's not them necessarily ganging up on you or pushing you down, but them trying to help you to see that something you may have said or did or whatever, was not something they liked or appreciated.

And while you are certainly under no Gay ass obligation to please anybody here, it is nice to have common courtesy, in say, not posting things that you know will only incite confusion and offense, such as finding Lesbian Porn hilarious, without really providing a reason for it being so to you.

But then again, you have to remember, people who respond genuinely in some way to what you say, are not all mature either you know. Some of these grown men and women (*cough* TINKLES *cough*... what a tickle...whew) are worse than us 19 year olds.

And to touch on that for a second, to let both you, Davearoo and whoever else know, and as I have literally been saying since I joined basically after my 18th Birthday, is that you cannot determine someones Maturity, Intellect or general adeptness by their Age, this is a folly...

I won't believe it, because even my 11 year old Sister is more mature than some of the people here and even myself included, shoot! She is only in Primary school (last year) and is the top of her class, head girl of her year, does plenty extra curricular activities and is pretty autonomous in exception of being able to control her own finances and such.

Legally, she is considered to be immature and sure, that maybe and for good reason, because she can't own a car/bike/house or have her own financial plans, however, this does not make her or any other person of any age considered to be "a child" or teen to be immature or lacking in the department of adults.

I had to grow up really fast when my mother had my Sister and it was just me,her and my Grandmother, and I was only 9, and I was academically on top of my game, picking up my Sister at 12/13 when she was in day care, alone and getting groceries and other errands my mother couldn't do while she was the primary bread winner, so I had to do these things.

So I vehemently believe age has nothing to do with a persons immaturity, intelligence or general adeptness, as everyone progresses differently, and so is incorrect to say that every 19 or whatever year old is immature.

Very well, I stand corrected. Nearly every 19-year-old has at least a pretty substantial streak of immaturity.
