it's fun (for me) cause it's incredibly accurate
It took me 2 years of thesis to graduate, a year to get a freaking positive Western Blot and a lot of dealing with crazy ass mice
for all the scientists out there, a Lady Gaga parody

HAHA! I totally get this... I'm in a project with a professor where things are just not moving at all. It's taking me 5 years to graduate since my school only offers 5 year programs for engineering.

ha, yeah I get it..my major needed 5 years and then 10 months of lab project for getting the grade..but it took me 2 years and not 10 months..ugh...
and then there was allthe stalemate and the funding problems... nightmarish!

Oh my god. I've heard a lot of about thesis right and the hardship of getting a degree, but that's just painful! Have you read phd comics before? It's very good!

hahaha, that's hilarious..never read it before
In my college we have a joke about post-graduate and post-docs post docs are like ghosts cause they always work but you hardly ever see them out theory is that in order for they to become visible you have to get a doctorate yourself...cause they're invisible for the normal population haha

Haha, yeah, I think it's true at most schools. They are just so invisible, like they are in another plane of existence. i also like the 2 minutes thesis and his description of Higgs Boson. His channel does great explanations on a lot science!

Masters? Very cool..
In my country masters don't really add much, so the goal is always to get a doctorate...and then do THAT all over again..ugh... but it's the life of research, oh well

Masters eh? I'm going for masters as well. Not sure about Phd though, it seems like it may take like 5 years to do and I don't know if I want that.
Here's a funny web comic about P.Eng http://www.wastedtalent.ca/comic/ftw JZman Wrote:Thanks, that was too funny. And is is so true. I really feel sorry for folks who have to go through all of that. I decided to stop after my Masters. |
