I would of hoped there would be less people here saying "Well...THEY'RE CHILD ABUSERS!!!1!!" But meh...

While the school is allowed to fire him, I don't think any school should be allowed to have a clause in their contracts that basically allow the employer to fire their employees for not being >insert member of religion here< enough.
Too broad, too vague, too much like forcing the employee to live as the employer's beliefs demand.
