Beyond It
#1
Interesting piece in The Guardian about Robbie Rogers.

I know there was a very mixed response from folks on here when the Tom Daley story broke, but I still think its important that the younger LGBT community has role models that give them the strength to cope with what may be emotional turmoil inside. That includes them coming out on their own terms, when they are ready.

Like they say in the article, football can be very homophobic, i always imagine it,ll be there to an extent but hopefully whole stadiums chanting homophobic slurs will become a thing of the past (as with brighton) "beyond it" must only be a good thing.

Considering how in my country if you don't play or like the sport (granted, it a massive thing over here) you're a faggot, I'll take this as a good thing...

oh, well....they were right with me, but I hated soccer/football way before I knew about my gayness..

anyway...congrats to this guy...whomever he is..
