Your type??
#11
After much trial and error, I've discovered that I absolutely must be with someone who is a true geek. Sure, I find other people attractive. The problem is that everything goes downhill with anyone who is only attractive shortly after dating them. I've tried this with both men and women, and it is the same every time. Luckily, I've found someone who is both geeky and attractive. That's definitely my type.

As for what type I am, I am a total geek. I've been told I'm attractive, but I am really bad at taking compliments. I deny it every time. That's explains my preference.

Uh.. Lets give this a go..

I'm 5'7 or 170-ish. Average, but I work out try to do sporty things
and hike, so I'm shooting for Athletic/toned.. it's taking forever, but
there's something.. there.. I think..

I can grow a beard, have chest hair and have hairy legs and arms for
an Asian guy. I guess I'm panda then, eh? Lol, jk.. Bear labels are always
funny to me.

I like to say 'prefer' instead of 'type', mostly because 'type' just feels
like I'm closing myself off to other guys, and 'prefer' just feels like it'd
be nice to meet a guy that had those qualities, but it's not necessary.

To make it easy I'll just describe the last guy who I had [have?] a crush
on. He's tall, like taller than 6ft, he's pretty toned since he teaches pilates
at the YMCA [I know right?]. He has dark brown hair that grows kind of curly
when he doesn't brush it or lets it grow a bit longer. He's has a beard right now
and it looks good on him, but he looks good without one too. He's somewhat hairy,
arms, legs, and I've seen him shirtless [only wearing a towel once] and he has a
hairy chest. His eyes, well I want to say it's like light brown/hazel, but sometimes
when I look at it, it has hints of green.

Aside from that he's obviously a sweet guy, we share a lot of common interests
and can pretty much talk about something really dumb for hours. So, the looks are
great and everything, but if we didn't click so well I don't think I'd like him this
much; I mean don't get me wrong, I'd still think he's attractive but I wouldn't
have this dumb feelings for him to begin with, ha… Hanged

That probably did not make sense, but I hope you get the picture D:

I'm about 5'3 ( I'm a shorty) , about 150lb so I'm definitely on the overweight side. I'm hairless so that would make me a chub? As in position wise, I'm pretty versatile, but I prefer my type to be more manly and mature so I guess that would put me as a chub boy. Personality wise...well, that's a long story. I guess I'm more of a geek (Counter-strike GO, Doctor who , Ghost-Recon, Assassins Creed,Star wars) , and I'm a book worm. I love to read books, because it's always been a good escape for me. I'm not much of a party person, but I'm certainly a socializing person. There's a difference. I prefer more authentic interactions ( for ex. Movie/video game party at my place with a few friends > Clubs )

As for my type...Well I have a celebrity crush on James Corden. I usually prefer bears! WOOF WOOF! Beards are a major turn on for me

Sorry Evan you cannot qualify yourself as normal guy, because the concept of normality is very complex within itself, where you believe to be a normal Joe, you're in fact a unique and exceptional Joe. What is looking normal? What's being normal? To define normality you got to first wonder in the concept of abnormality and find within its web of concepts where your normality stands.

Therefore you're not normal, you're exceptional like each and every one on this forum Smile

There is another thing that plays a huge part in whether I find a person attractive.

I don't know how to explain it but if I don't like the face of a person I would find him unattractive even if I think he's handsome or his body is really hot. It has nothing to do with the looks or body and everything to do with the 'feel'.
For example, Ryan Gosling and Ian Somerhalder (and many other celebs) may be good looking but I don't find them attractive.

Edit:
I saw this image on one of the older GS posts. There's no illustration for an 'average' there and the next closest for me would be builtfat.

Sorry Jake, i just dont have a particular type to be honest.. Sometimes a person that i like would be too different from previous people I liked..

Ok to be specific
With regards to height, Im 5'10'', i dont think im particular with height
For body just the average..

Ugh cant really describe.. But when it comes to personality department, i have lots to tell
And sometimes when a person likes me and i like his personality, i begin to appreciate things about him physically..

Basically, just pleasing to the eyes. Who am i to judge people, lol

Yes you do and that particular type is called Evan, perhaps for you you're just normal... and it's okay to feel that way if you tend to compare yourself with other. But go ahead and count your blessing and you'll find out soon enough that's you're not as normal as you think you are. To you you're normal but to the person you'll eventually be with or that you are with at the present time, you're exceptional.

So you're 5'10, well I would I love to be 5'10 but I'm 5'8 which is quite unusual for a person of my nationality (I am Haitian/Dominican). For me my height have been a concerns for a long time because I the people surrounding me always had in concept that most black people were tall, and there you have it this little short stuff - but one have to understand that I am also a mix between Latino american and black and very few Latinos are extremely tall.

My husband Alex is 6 foot tall and he has no problem with my height at all... in fact I can do something that he can't, I can take him from ground down and pull him up to the air... yes I'm short and skinny but I have an unusual strength for my height and it as nothing to do with me exercising - I'm just naturally strong. I weight 130lbs and I can bench three times my weight without sweating. That showed me that everywhere you may miss something, there's something else that will compensate. A blind person from birth often have acute hearing (that's if they are not deaf too LOL).

What I meant by the concept of normality versus abnormality is more at a psychological level. Physically if you have all your members and they all functions as they were naturally designed to, yes in that sense you're normal and that as nothing to do with your morphology. But in the case of appearances, there are no normality in appearances because just like it is written in your genetic code DNA if all your strings are aligned and working as they should be you are a unique individual with normal body functions... what's normal is the functions that your body does and there is so much more specific factor that defines normality and it's not only biological, it's also economical, sociological, psychological. So you're a normal Joe? No. From what I know most Filipinos do not reach that height you have 5'10 isn't normal for your nationality and you know it LOL. So doesn't that make you a bit unique? Unless you're a mix yourself - which would explain some stuff there LOL.

I think for alot of us it's hard to understand whether we're attracted to someone because their 'our type' or if they're 'our type' because we're attracted to them first.

It's really funny when you're attracted to a guy, purely physically. Once that happened, I would stare at him all the time and then when he spoke (he had the most annoying voice you could imagine, and said the stupidest things) the attraction instantly went away and it was a vicious cycle.

Hahahha so true... in my time of watching gay porn, I could find a dude so hot... but the minute he started talking or that I had the bad ideas of watching their interview... bang the interest was gone... so gone lol
