Many schools have required courses that are designed to weed people out during the freshman and sophomore years. There's very little that can be done except to tough them out.
Not that the courses later on are any easier, BUT by the last two years your ability to handle the academics will have become much stronger. Enough so that you'll have a little time left for fun after you study.

I suppose a lot of people would, but I never found uni to be stressful to the point of insanity...
then again (allow me to be very not-modest and a little conceited) I passed all courses with relative ease, so that part of uni stress, the fear of exams and stuff like that, I never got to experience......90% of my classmates did obviously......some left exams crying (mostly in Analytical Chemistry),
work overload, sure...most definitely yes...
and you said something very very on point of college controling your life..
what I can say is it does take a great deal of dedication and that amount of work makes a big dent on everything else in your life, so you are experiencing nothing out of the ordinary.
My piece of advice, and this is how I went through college is schedules, schedules, schedules..
planning, planning, planning......and I will say it again.....planning.....
this is the pivotal point of all college experiences
use the mellow sundays to sit down and lay out all the stuff you need to do and then prioritize...after that, start filling the week with to do's...
try not to go on the all-nighters to often....as much as you may be in despair about time, a brain on sleep deprivation does not function half as good as it should..
don't stop going out there and enjoying yourself every now and then, cause it's healthy to have that kind of distraction
but avoid this (and this is a pandemic ill-behavior in college folks): getting wasted or stoned...
seriously....avoid the massive amounts of alcohol and other vices, as your stressed out organism will be happy about it...
this last part is crucial...although I get that it maybe a few words that will be carried in the wind and not listened to.. *sigh*
maintain a proper sleep and feeding behaviours...that is...try to eat in regular schedules during the day and try to eat as normaly as you can.....respect your sleep hours..
that would be my advices, at least, for me, they were good enough to get me smoothly through college
Now, you know this.....you already experienced it...a Masters will be more work, sure, but the same structure applies..

I remember those days, stress yes, eating instant coffee by the spoonful and washing down with water during finals week. Did get my Masters, that and a dollar would buy you a cup of coffee, Jim
