I wrote this poem when two guys were beaten up in a homophobic street attack on Oxford St which use to be a gay district.

Friends

Fear no more your friends are near
They don't whisper their shout is clear
You may have fallen, but now stand tall
because all your friends are one and ALL.

Your path is long, but you're not alone
because all your friends will guide you home
We stand united to hold your hand
by journey's end tall you'll stand

Your voice cried out and we all heard
and now we're here to speak your word
With one voice we say out loud
we're all community and we are proud

So close your eyes and sleep in peace
your friends are near your fears can cease

Nice poem, Voice, but I think you'll want that last line to read 'your' fears can cease.
