Have been cooking since I was a child. It i fun to be able to just make something out of what is on had and also to get into good recipes. Nobody whoud be intimidated with all the stuff on the net available to help.

Too true. If I wanted to try something I google the recipe and it pretty much 95% of the time comes out perfect.

I think the term for mixing things in a mortaar with a pestle is actually 'pound.'

I cook just about always. Bill grows vegetables now, so things are getting interesting. Truly fresh produce is spectac!

I don't fit in any of those categories. I'm more of the "wing it with fresh foods" kind of guy. But yes, I can definitely cook. Due to my metabolism, I have to eat 5-6 full meals a day to keep up and not drop weight. There is a whole LOT of cooking involved, and even then it can break the bank.

That said? I really don't enjoy it. Probably because I have to do so much of it.
