I find I don't like shows that are primarily starring gay people or with only gay characters... even things like the movie rent I didn't like a lot. I hope that doesn't diminish my gayness somehow.

But if I find myself with some free time I might try watching an episode.

You've done an excellent (and very patient) job with the subtitles. I looked at the first episode and it's seems to be very far from the usual gay series but, purely from my personal point of view, at little slow burning; lots of slow, lingering shots of people doing very ordinary things, especially eating. Made me quite hungry! I might look at more if I have time.

I started watching episode 1 yesterday, it looks ok, just i hate watching things on youtube for long time, i would get this if i see it on dvd
