My doctor has prescribed me Viagra as I have been having a few issues (ahem!) due to stress..
Have any of you guys taken Viagra before?? I am a bit wary about the side effects!

In some ways, Viagra is like laxative, if you constantly use it, the internal muscles and nerves that previously controlled your erectile tissue decide, what the hell, if something else is doing it, why should we bother? Laxatives become habit forming in much the same way and your body then requires them to replace your excretory system. At 36 I must question why you're taking it although you seem to feel there's a need. I would strongly suggest a visit with your neighourhood Urologist and have a talk with them. See if he agrees with your diagnosis of Erectile Dysfunction. At the risk of bragging, at 70, I can still get an erection, and with a little imagination, ejaculate without using my hands. You might want to put yourself more in the moment of sex and less in the fear of performance. The Times isn't going to print a review and if someone who was at the performance does, suggest that the fault was not totally yours.

Go back to your doctor and suggest that rather than the longer lasting Viagra, you'd like to try Alprostadil. Instant erection. What you do is inject it at the base of the penis where it blocks the return of blood. Alternately there's a spansule form that is placed between the lips of the urethra and allowed to dissolve. (Don't pee during that period or you'll have hard water but a soft water squirter.) The time on this is around an hour and then it collapses but....for that hour, you've a steel I beam. Of course, some may have a difficulty injecting themselves where required-some are traumatized by needles, but as a sure thing alternate addictive to any of the prescription pills, here's your answer. Oh, and generally they throw in a needle or two gratis.
